Online Go Lesson
Joey Hung 8 dan offers online/offline Go lessons as joeyhung on www.gokgs.com
or http://www.pandanet.co.jp/English/.
An online Go lesson with me
consists of playing a game and then analyzing the game by using the
KGS/IGS teaching tools.
I will work with you closely to design
a personal improvement plan. From the first game and several diagnostic
questions, I will identify your sticking points and pinpoint the area
that you need to work on. I will then assign homeworks specifically
designed to improve these areas. I have high expectation for all my
students, and I will push you hard to achieve higher rank quickly.
I believe anyone - either a 5 years old
kid or a 63 years old retiree - can achieve a high dan status on KGS/AGA
if he/she put his/her mind and effort into it and work hard within a
period of time.
I prefer Go Lessons using Skype voice chat (www.skype.com).
It is more comfortable talking rather than typing.
Group Lessons: For 2,3 or 4
players, will play on KGS/IGS simultaneously and reviews individually
within time alot.
An offline Go lesson consists
of my commenting on games that you send to me in SGF format and also
answering any questions you have about Go. It's $10 USD per game. Please
type in your questions (5 max) into the sgf file and be as specific as
possible, preferably asking about specific move, shape, joseki, concept.
